Sitting in the sunshine, as I try to do every morning, sunshine permitting, I find myself having a conversation about trials and tribulations when involving careers and life paths. So many of you live day to day loathing and hating the job/careers that you are in. Sure it starts out as excitement, when it's new. I think back to any job that I acquired and remember the excitement involved. Who will you meet, what will you do, how much fun will you have? Soon that excitement turns to boredom, monotony, and then loathing. Especially when you find yourself in a situation where the job you actually have, you hate doing.
Soon that job hate turns to anger towards your co workers, customers/clients, sometimes family, and especially your boss. You end up hating your job so much, you either lose it, find another one, or worse, just up and quit. Any of this sounding familiar? You see, it's not the company you work for, the job that you have, or even your co workers. It's you. The problem is that you stopped following your heart. You see, when you deny your inner stirrings, the Universe says, "Woah, time to throw up some roadblocks and make this a little harder, just to nudge you in the right direction." All this is done by the Universe with love of course. There is never any maliciousness or bad intentions. All is for your Highest Good.
A friend of mine has been searching for work as of late. This person has encountered disappointment after disappointment, roadblock after roadblock. It can be really frustrating when you're not really sure what you are doing that is wrong. The truth is, you aren't doing anything wrong. You are being shown lesson after lesson, until you awaken, that you aren't following your heart. Sure, you will find opportunity after opportunity because that is what the Universe does, answer your call for request. The sticky part is, the Universe provides the opportunity, yet, your soul says, "No, I don't really want this."
So how do you get out of this cycle? The answer is simple AND not so simple. All you have to do is get clear on what it is that you truly want and tell the Universe you are ready to accept it. You can't base you choice on stress, need, or others. The truth is, you have to base your decision on you, selfishly. Why? Because this is YOUR Universe. Once you are clear on what YOU want, the roadblocks will fall away. How is this possible? The Universe will provide the opportunities that you truly want, and your soul will finally say, "Yes, I really do want this."
